Lynn is terrified to recieve bad news from her mother on the phone about her hospitalized, chronically ill sister Claudia. When she gets a surprise visit from the magical being called the Operator, she is given the chance to "put it all on hold". While she enjoys the world being frozen, and puts off the bad news as long as she can handle no company.
