• The idea to make a celebratory montage lyric video set to "American Pie" had been in the works for over a year prior, with the inital plan for the One Remains | The Breadwinner 2 (2025) trailer being to make this type of montage for only works released during high school. This was scrapped due to time.

• The idea to use this song came from the lyric "Jack Flash sat on a candlestick" as Joey Olivo nearly sat on a candle before filming Infected (2017).
