Trivia
This film was supposed to come out in late November, but due to both Logan Bauer and James Oglethorpe getting sick, it had to be delayed to December1st, 2022. Because of this, it was late for the Multimedia and Film class. Had it not been delayed, it would have released on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break, November 22nd, 2022.
This is the third Multimedia and Film release, called "Plot Twist". The assignment was to create a plot twist. Logan Bauer had the idea for a time travel element, and James Oglethorpe had the idea to use a pickup line / getting the girl.
Of the posters for the Multimedia and Film releases, this was by far the hardest to create a good-looking poster for.
The time machine seen in the movie consists of a bunch of video game consoles and a water bottle stacked on top of each other. The consoles in the stack include an NES, a SNES controller, a Nintendo 64, a Playstation 2 Slim, a DS Lite, Family Edition Wii, and a Playstation 4, with a Nintendo Switch being the device Bartholomew uses to activate the time machine.
The time traveling sequence shows a bunch of photos and videos shown in quick succession. One notable figure includes EDP in his infamous "Moeller sucks ass at football" video and Ryan Sams in a super-secret cameo. Don't look too hard.
The use of "Watermelon Man" by Herbie Hancock to begin the video was done as a reference to an inside joke because of Brendan Beluan.
The line "Who you liking these days?" is a reference to a catchphrase of Ryan Sams.
The scene featuring both Toms talking to each other was edited on an older version of Premiere Pro on a computer in St. X's Blueprint Office. That is the reason it looks so grainy.
Bartholomew can be seen in the background of the window during their conversation.
The iconic Wilhelm scream is used when Tom is slapped in the flashback scene.
The credits had a more happy-sounding feel to them than wanted. The music overall on this project was especially rushed. The music does not really fit the credits. The only song that fits well (apart from the opening "Watermelon Man") is "Black Suit Theme" from Spider-Man 3. It was difficult to convince James Oglethorpe to let that song be used in the film.
This is the only Multimedia and Film release to not have any kind of alternate version.
