In the first Rory book of Logan Bauer's fourth grade year, Rory reminisces about his family. He gets on a plane to Texas to visit them where they live, and leaves on his jetpack to shoot down a cloud because he hates clouds. When they cloud transformed into the evil Dr. Cloud, he was so shocked his jetpack stopped working and he plummeted to the island below. Rory was once again stuck on an island! Dr. Cloud surged down from the sky in anger once night fell. Rory jumped into the water, electrocuting himself but this also caused his jetpack to instantly fully charge. He grabbed Dr. Cloud and took him to the Moon where a UFO was. It had a built-in teleporter in it, and Rory used it to teleport Rory 2.0 and Ms. Owens to the Moon. Rory 2.0 grabbed a ray gun and tried to hit Dr. Cloud with it, but instead hit the UFO's control panel and inadvertently sent the UFO back down to Earth, with Ms. Owens stranded up on the Moon with Dr. Cloud.
