A Farmer, who is not content with his current life, leaves his porch to go make changes to his life to make it more interesting. He tries to get a wife, new rocking chair, and sell his property. It is an allegory of sorts for the monotony of life and how a change of pace is wanted but just not possible in many instances.

This book was originally going to focus on the farmer's relationship with his wife instead of different aspects of his life and what he wants from it.
The farmer's wife was originally named Martha.
The book was written last minute, due to a class being called short.
Though this story was written and submitted to the Young Writer's Forum on March 31st, 2023, it would not be talked about until April 6th, 2023's YWF meeting due to time constraints.
