  • "Water to wine" refers to Jesus' first recorded miracle, turning water to wine at the wedding at Cana.

  • "Stare into the face of a stranger" refers to the road to Emmaus story.

  • "Disciples lay asleep in the grass" refers to Holy Thursday when the apostles fell asleep in the Garden of Gethsemane.

  • "Tongues" refers to the tongues of fire that appeared to the apostles following Jesus' death.

  • "Doubting Thomas" refers to the story of Thomas, who doubted the man before him was the risen Jesus until touching his wounds.
