Quarrel of the Bells
Quarrel of the Bells
Quarrel of the Bells series
December 24th, 2024
Sisters-in-law Holly and Carol who have had pent-up hatred for one another let it show on Christmas Eve in an unforgettable holiday brawl. A bloody, violent clash certainly is one way to celebrate the season, and neither combatant holds back whatsoever. Middleman Beaux is too oblivious to pick up on any of this drama.

Script
The script was finalized for the November 22nd, 2024 Young Writers' Forum meeting where it was read aloud. Ben Troung read for the narration, Elizabeth Heile read for Holly, Francis Chan read for Carol, Jack Murray read for Beaux, and Jacob Stover read for both Belle and Cindy.
Trivia
The film initially was planned to feature stop-motion animation based on the Rankin Bass Christmas films, but was scrapped due to difficulty implementing it well.
Each of the characters have a holiday-themed name:
Holly is a Christmas-themed plant which looks very similar to mistletoe.
Carol comes from the Christmas tradition of caroling/Christmas carols.
Beaux is pronounced like "bow", which gifts are wrapped in.
Belle is pronouned as "bell", which are Christmas staples.
Cindy comes from the name of the little girl from How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss, Cindy Lou Who.
The sign used in the video broke the night before filming and was fixed by Jason Bauer. Despite this, as seen in the film, the sign broke in a different way while filming.
Geraldina Jeronimo Simon was asked to make the poster reminiscent of Santa Claus Coca-Cola ads from the mid-1900s.
Karis Bauer's finger was in fact broken on set by Andrea Tiu when tossing the Coke can used in the garage scene.
The budget of the film ended up close to $90.
This is the only L.A.B. Productions film of 2024 that was always conceived as a film to not have a post-credits scene of any kind. One was planned (as seen in the scipt) to allow Andrea Tiu's friends Allie and Maya to cameo, but this was scrapped.
