The duality of water is explored within this love letter towards it. The letter focuses on both the healing capacity of it as well as its destructive nature. Water is framed as the narrator's lover, though a lover with a passion for violence. This was written as part of the 2023 Young Writers' Forum white elephant prompt exchange.

The prompt the poem was based off of is as follows: "Write a poem discussing the duality of water--its capacity for giving life and exemplifying beauty along with its potential for fostering death and destruction." It was written by Eric Salem at the prompt exchange on December 8th, 2023.
The prompt Logan Bauer wrote was given to Jack Murray, which he used to make the short story Wizard Conflicts (and resolutions).
