Plants vs. Zombies on Nintendo DS
Plants vs. Zombies on Nintendo DS
October 30th, 2022
In a spooky labproductions Halloween special, Lab is shot following continuity from a @labproductions bit where he pulls out a DS in a shootout and is shot as a result. Because of his injury, Hot Dog Hat Guy supplies him with a game to pass the time: Plants vs. Zombies--the Nintendo DS port. Hot Dog Hat Guy urges Lab to play it, as he can only cure the injuries of those who have wasted their time. He reviews the game, talking about its presentation, gameplay and music. He comes to the conclusion that it is a fun interesting release, even if it is a novelty--though one worth checking out. When Hot Dog Hat Guy states that the conclusion he came to would imply he did not waste his time, he takes back the statement calling it garbage. Hot Dog Hat Guy cures his bullet wound, and all is right with the world.

Trivia
This video acts as a follow-up to the "Got a DS Lite" video posted on @labproductions on June 24th, 2022.
The video was filmed on September 22nd, 2022, making it the labproductions episode with the longest production time.
Correction: the physical DS copy of the game does not actually run any differently on a Nintendo 3DS system as stated in the video. Playing the DS cartridge on a 3DS simply acts as it would on a DS.
At the time of release, the song "Seep & Destroy" from Splatoon 3 did not have a name, instead being called "Bang Bing" by fans.
Plants vs. Zombies (DS) was one of three games Logan bought alongside his DS in 2022.
This is considered the best labproductions episode/YouTube video.
A trailer for the video was released on @labproductions on October 24th, 2022.
Ryan Sams has dyslexia. This is poked fun at in the video, and can also be seen in We LOVE The Wolf of Wall Street.
This was the last labproductions episode, due to having less time to spend making them. Because of the transition from TikTok to YouTube then ending YouTube content, this signaled the end of labproductions content, which would end rather soon, only a few months after the video's release. Essentially, this was the finale to it all (apart from unscripted rambling, which really is its own thing.)
The digesting scene where the Red Lobster biscuits are directly facing the camera is a reference to how the branded food's logos face the screen in the Netflix film He's All That.
