Why Cry?
Why Cry?
Domain Nineteen | Internal Unease
January 18th, 2024
In this poem, the speaker expresses their reluctance to cry despite all of life's hardships. Throughout said hardships, the speaker stays straight-faced, but only when an exorbitant amount of positivity is brought to the narrator does he cry tears of joy. The title of the poem sits at the bottom as opposed to the top to represent how crying due to happiness instead of sadness is "backwards."

Trivia
This was touted as the first L.A.B. Productions release of 2024, though the in-person event of Charles Demo, which is what the website goes by as its release date, came first by three days. The distribution of the video of the event came after this poem, however.
The poem was written on January 17th, 2024 and would have released on January 19th had school not been closed on that day due to winter weather. It was instead released on the 18th by being sent off to others for review.
