As Logan Bauer was applying to Media Production majors at different universities, some asked for a written screenplay to be submitted under his portfolio. As such, Case Closed was adapted into the traditional screenplay format, as seen below:
Trivia
This work was always made to eventually become the opening scene for Devious Crimes. Because of that, it is evident that the characters of Wendy Greene, Carter Davis, Police Chief Johnson, and Jackie Sycamore went under different names initially.
The roles of Johnson and Jackie had not been casted at the time this was written.
The screenplay omits the anti-Cleveland bits and other filler parts to get it down to three pages.
