• The people mentioned at the end of the poem are all in reference to real people:

  • "Eddie" is a reference to Jason Bauer, whose middle name is Eddie. Eddie Bauer is also a famous clothing brand.

  • "Marie" is in reference to Jessica Bauer, whose middle name is Marie. The middle name Marie is used for daughters on the Bauer side of the family.

  • "The daughter of the kind" is in reference to Lisa Daly, who babysat Logan and Karis Bauer when they were young. This title is because she was named after Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, who is known as the King of Rock n Roll.

  • "Polar opposites" refers to Connie and Keith Bauer, who often differed in opinion.

  • "Schmoe" refers to Joey Olivo, as his nickname by his family was Joe Schmoe.

  • "KKB6" refers to Karis Bauer, as this was her self-given nickname when she was six.

  • "The scared" refers to Cooper Bauer, who was scared of walking on hardwood floors.
