Trivia
The Breadwinner 3? Was this not enough for you!?
The night of the film's release, Premiere Pro ran into numerous exporting errors likely due to the unprecedented length of the film. Due to these errors, the film was nearly delayed, as it had to be reassembled using CapCut for desktop with the laptop in the passenger seat of the car. Thankfully, the film was completed around 10:00 AM on May 16th, just around an hour before the premiere.
The premiere event ate into the initial date for the AP Psychology exam, which did not work.
A total of around 3 and a half hours worth of footage was taken for the film, consisting of over 1,000 individual videos.
The film contains many, many references to past L.A.B. Productions works:
The opening intro of the film showcases all high school films (and some other videos), namely Calvary at the Courtyard (2022), Devious Crimes (2024), This is Cinema (2024), A Difficult Game (2023), The Litter Lurker (2022), Lovable Losers (2024), Quarrel of the Bells (2024), Love Letter to You (2024), Shakesfeld (2022), World of Cookies (2023), mmmBaseball (2023), A Day in the Life of Logan Bauer (2025), Stuck in a Philadelphia (2024), Pickup Line Paradox (2022), A Walk in the Park (2025) and The Breadwinner (2022), in that order.
The "A Logan Bauer and James Oglethorpe film" text is a callback to the first film.
The film opens where the previous one leaves off exactly.
In their opening conversation, The Boss directly quotes the opening monologue from his character in the first film. Clips from it are shown.
"Let's bake this bread" and the suit-up montage are a direct callback to the first film, complete with the tie tutorial video.
The date count begins on December 16th, 2022, which was the release date of the first film and when it was considered to take place.
Eric Salem's character gets out of the Durango, which reappears in countless L.A.B. Productions projects. It can also be seen in the back of many other shots.
The Starving Orphan returning references the first film.
The montage shows recreations of some shots from the first film, such as the bagel bomb toss and Agent Baker raising his guns in the same way he did in the first film.
Agent Baker recreates a shot similar to one seen with the gun in The Litter Lurker (2022).
The news channel shown in the film is called Sooper Dooper Nooz, a direct reference to Sooper Dooper Nooz (2020).
One of the headlines she states reads "We LOVE The Breadwinner", a reference to We LOVE The Wolf of Wall Street (2023).
The background of that segment uses the galaxy background of the original L.A.B. Productions intro.
The film takes place on May 16th, 2025, which was the film's release date.
In their face-off, The Breadwinner and Agent Baker quote all L.A.B. Productions films released after the first film's titles in a comical manner:
"Getting out of this would be quite a difficult game." (A Difficult Game)
"Oh, and this is quite cinematic, isn't it?" (This is Cinema)
"It's not exactly a love letter to you." (Love Letter to You)
"You're nothing but a loser. A lovable one, but still a loser." (Lovable Losers)
"You think I'm stuck here, don't you?" (Stuck in a Philadelphia)
"Killing you would be such a devious crime." (Devious Crimes)
"Oh, quit quarreling and just do it already." (Quarrel of the Bells)
"Yeah, it would be just a day in the life for you." (A Day in the Life of Logan Bauer)
"If it's such a walk in the park, then just do it." (A Walk in the Park)
"I'd kill the Breadwinner, too." (The Breadwinner 2)
A piano rendition of "Dream On" is used in their argument scene, as an homage to the music of their fight in the first film.
The sign on the Breadwinner's secret lair is a direct callback to the first film.
Clips from the first film are used in the time travel sequence.
Satan states the Breadwinner's neighbor in Hell is Grover Cleveland, a reference to the Blueprint article Not My Precedent (2023) about him.
A piano rendition of "Working for the Weekend" is also used, much like in the chase from the first film.
August 6th, 2073, the day Satan tells the Breadwinner he will die, is the 50th anniversary of A Difficult Game (2023).
The shot featuring both 2025 Breadwinners time traveling is an homage to a similar shot featuring two characters played by Logan Bauer in Pickup Line Paradox (2022).
"Hit his ass" can be heard when beating up the Timekeeper, a reference to an iconic quote from Daniel Rahn.
The final handshake is a reference to the truce in the first film.
"No bread was stolen during the production of this video, either." references the end credits of the first film.
Additionally, the film references other things like Family Guy, Invincible, Back to the Future, Spider-Man PS4, and the "I'm fucking, fucking pissed" video.
In the ending scene, the Breadwinner says "in the palm of your hand," with emphasis on "palm" like "pain", the French word for bread.
The film's poster appears in the background of Tied Together (2025).
