Immediately following The Story of Harold Part 1 (2017), after falling into what he thought was poison water, Harold realizes he is in a hot tub, but moves down a waterfall and directly into a McDonald's, which is now hiring. He starts working there, growing more and more miserable by the day until he serves Lory, who adopts him and applies for her DJ gig, where the events of Lory and Rory / Rory Gets a Girlfriend (2016) and Rory's Halloween 2016 (2016) take place.
