Just as Rory begins to exist again, Lory starts fading out of existance. Harold goes back in time to recruit past versions of himself dubbed Mrs. Harold and Pilot Harold. They go to the events of Rory Gets Stranded! then to Lory interviewing for a DJ job prior to Lory and Rory / Rory Gets a Girlfriend. The Harolds stop her from applying, but Mrs. Nurse catches them and recognizes them from their past time-meddling adventures. She informs them that the events of Rory and Penny the Penguin Crossover are occurring in the city.

This was originally meant to be the final Rory in Time comic, but it was extended out for another 5 issues later that summer.
The Rory stranded on the island is a deliberate reference to Rory Gets Stranded! and not Rory 2: Rory 'Rip' Please I Beg You! due to the clear volcanic eruption and treasure that Rory Gets Stranded! has.
